Yin and Yang
By Christina | March 11, 2009
You’ve seen the symbols, you know the circle with the “S” shape through the center; it’s black and white and has two smaller circles contained within. Do you know what it represents? As I sit here watching Lilo n Stitch with my daughter they bring up Yin and Yang and Lilo says “It’s when two opposite things come together to make one great thing.”
I like that. Think about your life today. What two things in your life seem to have no similarities or commonalities yet together they make up one wonderful thing.
The outer circle represents everything and the white and black shapes represents the interaction of the two energies: female and male, day and night, weak and strong, passive and aggressive. I recently read that all things are created to cease and that seems to go along with yin and yang. What moves forward, retreats; what goes up comes down. Take some time today to appreciate the dualities within yourself and in your world.
