Yoga has many benefits and one of them is its ability to make you happier. A few of the people who have inspired my yoga and meditation practice and agree that yoga and meditation can improve your outlook on life are Dr. Joe Vitale, Deepak Chopra and David Simon, James Arthur Ray, M. Scott Peck, and Dr John Demartini. The following list are some of the ways they felt mind body focus makes a difference.
1. Grounded: Yoga and meditation keeps you grounded.
When you are physically connected to the earth, whether that is in your yoga practice or meditation, you achieve a sense of connection, groundedness and power in your physical strength and ability.
2. Nurturace: Yoga and meditation encourage you to care for yourself.
As you practice and open yourself to your inner thoughts, you feel good. This sense of inner joy is addictive, making you seek to continue thereby bringing you more joy. The more you practice, the more you consciously start to look at your life and do things which make you feel better.
3. Spiritual Growth: Yoga and meditation feeds your soul.
Meditation and yoga are conduits that allow you to connect with your inner being, your Divine self. As you practice you reconnect with your divine light and inner spark of joy. This feeds your soul and brings you joy.
4. Self Love: Yoga and meditation empowers you to love yourself more
Meditation allows you to get to know yourself, learn why you think the way you do, go within yourself and see the underlying reasons for your unhappiness and sense of frustration with life. Yoga teaches you to accept you, love yourself and respect your mind and body.
