Omelet with Smoked Salmon and Dill (low-carb)

Preparation: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 9 minutes
Servings: 4
 
Ingredients:
4 slices smoked salmon
6 eggs, separated
1 tablespoon fresh dill, minced
2 pinches ground ginger
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper
 
  • Preheat the oven to 500˚ Fahrenheit.
  • Cut the smoked salmon slices in strips.
  • In a large clean bowl, beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until soft peaks form.
  • In another bowl, whisk the egg yolks with dill, ginger, salt and pepper.
  • Add the salmon strips to the mixture.
  • Carefully fold the yolk mixture into the beaten egg whites.
  • In an oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  • Pour the preparation into the skillet and cook on medium heat for 4 minutes.
  • Place the omelet in the oven for 5 more minutes.
  • Serve immediately.
