Affirm What You Wish to Create
ARTICLE RATING ![]()
Have you ever just stopped in your own presence to realize the amazing power that lies within you? Have you ever thought about what you are passionate about and what it is that you want to create in your life? Now, can you imagine having that ability? Take a moment and read each of the quotes below, then stop and think about each one for a few moments:
Each of these statements is powerful and was spoken by someone who has affected thousands, if not millions of people. Our culture is making a quantum shift toward “manifesting the life you want.” Through affirmation and intention, you can create whatever you want. Manifesting means to create, or make clear, beyond a doubt. An affirmation is a short concise statement said with passion, conviction and belief. An intention is an intended outcome that guides your actions. Put these together and you have the keys to unlock the secret of “Manifesting the Life You Want”. Having the keys are half the solution, you need to implement the strategies to open the lock. The mind must be in a relaxed state in order for suggestibility to occur. For affirmations to be effective the mind must be in a state of suggestibility. Plainly stated, relax and allow the mind to take in what you really want to create. Begin by sitting comfortably in a chair. Close your eyes and focus only on you breathing. This may take a few minutes as we are conditioned to think non stop and multi task as much as possible. After a few minutes you will begin notice that you are aware of your breath, you are relaxed. Think about what you truly want to create in your life. There is nothing too trivial or complex. Put that desire into a short, clearly worded thought and repeat it over and over in the present tense, as if it is occurring now. Truly allow the mind and body to believe that you not only want this outcome but you have achieved this outcome. For example, someone who wants to have peace in a tumultuous relationship would affirm, “I am happy and at peace in my relationship”. You would not affirm “I want peace” or “I will stop fighting to have peace”. Keep your thoughts positive and in the present moment. Affirmations, intentions, and manifestations will find their way into your conscious mind at all times of days and during all activities. They truly become a part of who you are.
