March 1 Turn your clothes hangers in your closet to face the same direction.  As you go through your clothing laundry cycle for the next 4 weeks, turn the hangers the other way on the clothes you put back into your closet.

This way you can tell what clothing you are not making use of and is taking up space.  You can either donate them to charity or make more of an effort to utilize them.

March 2 Today is Read Across America Day.  Spend an hour reading to your children or find a quiet shady spot to read one of your favorite books.

March 3 Take your pet for their check up and grooming so they can be ready for spring too.

March 4 Take a paper towel and some multi-surface cleaner and clean your doorbell button.  This is a commonly overlooked item but it is the first thing that any of your visitors come into contact with.

March 5 Pay a toll for the person behind you on the highway today.  These random acts of kindness have a great effect on your as well as the recipient’s.

March 6 Call your accountant to make your appointment and/or begin gathering your tax-related documents from from the previous year.

March 7 Insulating your water heater is an inexpensive and easy way to reduce your energy bills. It is recommended that you use an insulating ‘blanket’ with a minimum value of at least R-8.

March 8 Tackle a project you’ve been putting off at work. Don’t let yourself get distracted.

March 9 Draw up a family chore chart for spring cleaning. Don’t forget to include the gutters and the awnings.

March 10 Daylight Savings Time Begins today for the U.S. & Canada. Support your local food heroes by paying a visit to the farmer’s market. See what’s fresh and in season.

March 11 Make a call or write a letter to someone you’ve been meaning to get in touch with for months..

March 12 Organize your toolbox. Go around the house and gather all the tools into one toolbox, or tool drawer.  Screws, nuts, bolts and other little pieces can be stored in small plastic containers.

March 13 Easter is coming soon.  Whether you celebrate this event or not, an egg hunt is always good fun for the family.

March 14 When last did you take family photographs? Take a few today and file them into your photo album or upload them straight to your digital photo frame.

March 15 Sort through your desktop and delete old and unnecessary files. While you’re at it,

backup all your files and make a note of all your serial keys and licenses.

March 16 Organize to have a day out with your friends today. An appetizer evening is an easy theme to accommodate where everyone can bring a small light snack for all to enjoy.

March 17 Today is St. Patrick’s Day!. Regardless of whether you’re Irish or not, wear a bit of green for luck today or perhaps pop round to your local pub.

March 18 Place an umbrella in your car and in your desk drawer at work so that you are always prepared if you ever find yourself caught in a unexpected storm.

March 19 A great addition to a child's first garden are sunflowers from seeds. The large seeds sprout quickly and dependably, and the strong seedlings can push their way through even crusted soil.

March 20 Today is the first day of spring. Distribute the cleaning list you made earlier so everyone can lend a helping hand in this year’s spring cleaning.  Everyone in the family should try to complete at least one of their tasks today.

March 21 Get your measurements and body mass index (BMI ) taken at your local gym.

March 22 Plan a family activity today.  Rent a movie or play a game that everyone will enjoy this evening.

March 23 Next time you are at the fabric store, buy a few cheap sheets of brightly colored fabrics to use as tablecloths for special occasions.

March 24 Throw out any old pens that no longer work and markers that have gone dry.

March 25 Toss any food in your refrigerator that is past the expiration date.

March 26 Do you need a new doormat? Check to see how yours is holding up.

March 27 Make a list of any outside repair work that needs to be done. Then, make an appointment with yourself, your spouse or a local contractor to fix at least one.

March 28 Wipe clean all the windowsills in your home and office.

March 29 Make note of any dispensers that have run empty and have them refilled. Here are a few examples toilet roll holders, paper towels, cereal canisters, soap dispensers and candle holders.

March 30 In your next dishwasher cycle pop in your cutlery and ice-cube trays. 

March 31 Try a new recipe for dinner today. What's Easter without a delicious roasted lamb here is a simple recipe to follow. For you vegetarians out there I can't think of anything nicer than a basket of chocolate eggs to sweeten the day.
