Using Checklists for Your Household Cleaning
ARTICLE RATING It's a proven fact that lists help us to get things done. They help us
keep on track of things to do and they remind us of the little things
we might tend to forget.
An excellent way to use a list is in homemaking and most especially in your household cleaning. Starting your lists. To get started making a household cleaning list for each room in your home. Make a list of all the things from little to big that it takes to get each room in your home clean. Such as declutter, dust, vacuum, wipe light switch plates, wash curtains, wash walls. You get the idea. Try to be detailed about your cleaning details but not overly so. Using your household cleaning lists. Now that you've made these cleaning lists you need to use them. In order to use your lists effectively you will need a schedule for your lists so use your calendar to mark when you will clean each room. Each room should be scheduled for complete cleaning several times a year and some, such as the bathroom and kitchen, should be cleaned weekly. Places to keep these lists. Make sure you place your cleaning lists in a place you will access often. Some common places to keep room cleaning lists are a household organizer, on the back of the door to the room being cleaned, or inside the closet door of the room. You can also keep all of your cleaning lists on the door of your general cleaning closet. As you use your lists and clean the rooms of your home you may not complete all the cleaning tasks you have for a particular room. Use your list to check off the items that were completed. Then use your calendar to schedule the next time you will clean the room. When it comes time to use the checklist once again your cleaning checklist will let you know which parts of the room have already been done and which need to be cleaned. |
