Ordered House Cleaning Checklist
ARTICLE RATING These are listed by room and pretty much in the most efficient order to
do them. This is just a guide. If it's easier for you to do in another
order, fine. Obviously if there are other things needing to be cleaned
or other things to do in your home when cleaning, that aren't on this
list, just add them to your housecleaning checklist. This checklist
includes cleaning areas of most all homes. These were compiled to get
you started on the right track for getting your home cleaned quickly
and efficiently.
Garages require totally different guidelines so are not covered in this list. Bathrooms * Sink cleaned and disinfected * Tub and/or showers cleaned, rinsed well and disinfected * Chrome fixtures shined and cleaned * Entire toilet fixture cleaned inside and out, and disinfected * Wipe and/or vacuum walls, window sills and baseboards * Mirrors cleaned * Trash emptied * Towels changed * Vacuum and mop floor
Kitchen * Dishes washed and Put Away * Sinks Cleaned and always disinfected * Countertops Cleaned * Cabinet fronts washed * Clean stove, oven and refrigerator when needed * Clean outside of microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher * Wipe or vacuum walls, window sills and baseboards * Wash and/or dust table and chairs * Trash emptied * Floor vacuumed and mopped
Bedrooms * Check and straighten up or rearrange closets as needed * Beds made and Linens changed * Wipe, dust, or vacuum walls (corners), window sills and baseboards * Pictures and picture frames dusted or vacuumed * Dust and clean dressers and other furniture * Lampshades dusted or vacuumed * Mirrors cleaned * Trash emptied * Carpets vacuumed and other floor areas cleaned
Main Living Area and other Family Rooms * Fireplace Cleaned * Couches and other cloth covered furniture vacuumed and cleaned * All niches and crannies dusted or vacuumed * Picture and picture frames dusted or vacuumed * Clean, wipe, or vacuum walls, window sills and baseboards * Mirrors cleaned * Clean televisions and make sure the screens are well cleaned * Dust and clean coffee table, end tables and other furniture * Lampshades dusted or vacuumed * Carpets vacuumed and other floor areas cleaned If you use this housecleaning checklist to start with, you should be well on your way to getting your house cleaning organized. A good idea is for you to keep track of the time it takes to clean each room. With this information, you can better plan which days to schedule which rooms to clean. Plan your house cleaning and work your plan. Before long your house cleaning will be "Quik N Easy", taking up far less of your time to complete any of the housecleaning tasks. |
