Tide HE Detergent Product Review
ARTICLE RATING ![]() Tide® HE Detergent Product Review I recently bought a high efficiency front loading washer and was looking for a way to take full advantage of its energy conservation potential. High efficiency washing machines do not use as much water as a standard washing machine, therefore, from the beginning, it was reassuring to know that I was saving on energy consumption costs, as well as being friendly to the environment while doing a task that previously proved to be quite costly. I was given the opportunity to test a new laundry detergent by Tide designed specifically for high efficient (HE) washing machines. I found that using this detergent, which has been designed to work with this type of washing machine, is the absolute best way to ensure that your laundry is done properly, while posing no risk of damage to the specially designed appliance. Prior to testing the product, I had been using traditional non-HE liquid detergent. This resulted in excessive suds that did not drain completely in the rinse cycle and therefore defeated the purpose of the HE appliance, since the rinse cycle had to be repeated. One of the positive attributes of Tide High Efficiency with Febreze is that the container is actually smaller than that of my previous brand, yet still can be used for fifty-two loads of laundry. The reason for this is that only a very small amount of Tide HE detergent is required for the washing cycle. This makes the using the container to pour the detergent into the cap (also very small) a lot less cumbersome. I also found the size of the container very convenient because I have a bad back and often find lifting the heavier containers to be quite challenging. After the collective wash, rinse, and spin cycles had been completed, I opened the door and was quite happy to have find that my clothes were clean and not covered in bubbles. My clothes were brighter than they have been. Another positive point that I noted was the added Febreze scent of "Spring & Renewal." I did not find it over-powering in the least, as is often the case with scented detergents, but enjoyed the pleasant, light and airy aroma. |
