How to Start Your Search For That Perfect Apartment Rental - How to Rent an Apartment-House
Always start your search online. 85% of the apartment/house seekers start their search online because it's the most convenient and easiest way to "preview" the residence prior to stepping foot out the door. Most online listings should contain accurate pictures of the property. I mention the word "accurate" because many listings contain pictures that make the property look bigger than it really is or only contain photos of outside the property and no internal photos. Be wary of this. Ask yourself why there are no internal photos and proceed to do your research to find the answer. Furthermore, if there are internal photos, make certain that there are pictures of the bedrooms and bathrooms. Remember to not let the photos be the determining factor in deciding whether or not to see the property in person. Always book a showing. Your mind will often change your perception when you're standing in the house or apartment.

What to Look For in a Rental Apartment Or House - How to Rent an Apartment Or House
So, you found a bunch of listings, called a few real estate agents and narrowed your search to a few listings that you're really excited about. It's time to go view the properties. Your adrenaline is pumping because your vision of these properties gets you very excited...but wait! Do you know what to look for when touring these properties? Are you going to concentrate on only the cosmetic features of the apartment or house? I think not. Far too many home seekers just "walk through" apartments and at first glance, because the size of the property is much bigger than anticipated, they jump at the chance and fill out the application immediately. Mistake! You must take your time in reviewing the apartment. If your agent is making you feel rushed, get a new agent. It's so important to really absorb what you're looking at and its in the best interest of your agent to let you do so. Of course, agents don't mind showing the property a few times but certainly by allowing their clients to take their time will undoubtedly cut down the number of times that agent needs to show the property again to the same clients.
